Q-
I have 2 children that keep making holes in my wall when they open the
front door. What can I do to keep my walls looking nice but still lt
them use the doorways?
Rick L. from Dallas, TX
A- Good question, here are a few differnt solutions that should solve your problems
1- Door Knob Wall Guard- There are several manufacturers
that make products to cover the area on the wall and protect it from
getting damaged. Many of them will cover holes that are already there.
2- Door Stops- You have several options here. You can
attach them to the base boards, the floor or the door itself. The problem
might arise of cosmetics. Many people do not like the looks of having
door stop in plain sight.
3- Hinge Pin Door Stops- This is a great device and
is attached with the pin in the hinge of your door. It is much more
hidden then the other options.
I hope this helps. All of the above items can be purchased at your
local hardware stores. National and Stanley Hardware both manufacture
these items.
