Q-
How can I stop my drill bit from going too far into the surface I am
drilling into if I do not have a drill stop?
Dover from Columbus, OH
A- Use some painters
tape or other household tape. Rip a piece off and roll it around the
drill bit at the point you want to stop drilling. If you leave some
of the extra tape hanging off like a flag, this will wipe your surface
clean as you get to your correct depth.

Q-
Whenever I drill into the ceiling, the drywall and dust go all over,
is there anything I can do to stop it?
Pete H. from Springfield, MO
A- Use a clear plastic
cup for this one. Drill a hole in the bottom of the cup. Now, place
the cup onto the drill bit with the open end facing the ceiling. As
you drill your hole, all the dust will be caught in the cup and cleaning
up will be as simple as dumping the cup in the trash.
